Thank you for your interest in adopting from STAR and giving a bird a second chance at a happy, healthy life!

Please complete this form in full so that we can process your application as efficiently as possible.

Once submitted, a member of our Adoption Team will contact you to discuss the next steps in the process.  Incomplete applications will not be processed.

While we make every effort to review applications promptly, please remember that STAR is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and processing times can vary. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• We verify all veterinary references. Please contact your clinic in advance so they are authorized to release information to us.
• Submitting an application for a specific bird does not guarantee that the bird will still be available once your application is approved.
  • We often receive multiple applications for the same bird and will select the applicant who is the best fit.
• Approved applicants will be added to our internal mailing list for updates and special events (program use only).
• We reserve the right to decline an application at our discretion.
