Bonnie – Greenwing Macaw
Bonnie is an adventurous, fully flighted Greenwing Macaw, who needs a new home after her previous owner passed away. Her hatch date is unknown, but she is believed to be around 20 years old. Her DNA test to determine her sex is currently pending.
Bonnie loves exploratory strolls on the floor, foraging games, and making music with her beak on a cup. As a bird with lots of energy, she loves to fly and chew on wooden toys, just keep an eye on your buttons and shoelaces!
In her foster home, she is doing well with harness training and they are trying to entice her into enjoying pellets. Bonnie is eager to eat seeds, fruit, vegetables, and other parrot-safe human food.
Someone who has large parrot experience or is able to be very attentive would be a good match for Bonnie. She has not shown any discomfort around the dogs in her foster home. Bonnie enjoys affection and will thrive with lots of interaction from her new person.
Her foster says she is a true macaw through and through—loud, adventurous, compassionate, intelligent, beautiful, and so much fun!
