Help Save an Exotic Bird
You can help save a bird by volunteering to become a foster companion or by performing other volunteer activities. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising public awareness and education regarding these wonderful companion animals, and to finding homes for unwanted exotic birds.
Some species of parrots can live from 50 years up to 80 or more years. They can easily outlive their human companion. If the family does not want to keep the deceased person’s bird, a new home must be found for it.
As a completely volunteer organization, we are always in need of willing people who are excited to forward our mission.
Adorable Baby Birds Grow Up
Exotic birds make a wonderful pet for those who know what to expect of a bird.
Unfortunately, people often buy a baby bird from a pet warehouse store because it’s cute and adorable. They don’t know what to expect from the bird as it gets older, and have no knowledge regarding its care.
These birds then get passed from home to home, being neglected or abused. Eventually they die or get euthanized.
As part of our rescue operation, we try to find loving homes for these unwanted birds. But we need foster homes for these birds until their forever home can be found.
By volunteering to foster a bird, you give an unwanted bird life and provide it with attention, loving care, and companionship.
